I was talking to a friend of mine today who speaks English as a second language, and he said something so hilarious I could not help but share it. His first language is Russian, and he could not find a word in his Russian-English dictionary.
Him: I’m looking forward to watch the fresh episode of NCIS.
Me: Ah. I’ve never seen that show.
Him: Main character is very charismatic. And the whole mood is… my dictionary doesn’t know such an English word. Something between ‘fervent’, ‘teasing’, and ‘frolicsome’.
I hurt myself from laughing. Not at him, but at the idea of advertising NCIS this way. Check out the new season—it’s frolicsome!

That is… Just awesome. I really like that show, and to think of Gibbs being decribed as frolicsome is awesome. I am curious what the Russian word would be.

Yeah I’ll try to get the word from him and post it. But what word could possibly be the intersection of fervent, teasing, and frolicsome? I can’t imagine anything that can ever be described by those three words all at once.
